A ten-day private family journey from Casablanca through Marrakech, the Ourika Valley, the High Atlas, Ouarzazate and the Merzouga region, returning to Casablanca. The route combines medinas, mountain scenery, southern valleys and the dunes around Merzouga. Several stages are long driving days, so the final plan should be reviewed with the family in mind before booking.

WHAT FAMILIES WILL DISCOVER

Marrakech brings a lively introduction to Morocco through its historic medina, gardens and artisan quarters. The Ourika Valley and the High Atlas add cooler mountain landscapes and river scenery, while the road toward Ouarzazate crosses the Tizi n Tichka pass and the changing colours of the southern foothills. The Merzouga region offers the wide horizons and golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

DAY-BY-DAY JOURNEY

Day 1: Casablanca to Marrakech

Meet the driver according to the confirmed arrival plan and travel to Marrakech. Allow several hours for the transfer, and plan a relaxed evening if the family arrives late. Confirm the pickup point, child seats and luggage arrangements in advance.

Day 2: Marrakech

Explore a manageable selection of the medina, gardens and artisan areas, with regular breaks for water, shade and rest. The exact visits depend on opening times, the children age and the pace the family prefers.

Day 3: Ourika Valley

Travel into the Ourika Valley for mountain and river scenery. Walking conditions vary, so choose only routes suitable for the family. Any optional balloon activity remains subject to weather, operator arrangements and age or height rules.

Day 4: Atlas activities

Use this day for a nature walk or a supervised adventure only after the provider confirms age, weight, safety equipment and transport requirements. The goal is a comfortable family experience rather than a rushed schedule.

Day 5: Marrakech to Ouarzazate via the High Atlas

Cross the Tizi n Tichka mountain road with planned viewpoints and rest stops. A visit to Ait Ben Haddou is included only if it appears in the confirmed itinerary and access conditions allow it; paths can be uneven and exposed to heat.

Day 6: Ouarzazate to Merzouga

This is a long transfer toward the desert region. Breaks and arrival time depend on road conditions and the confirmed route. Keep water, snacks and warm layers accessible for the family.

Day 7: Merzouga and Erg Chebbi

Enjoy the open desert landscape around Erg Chebbi. A camel ride, camp transfer or another desert activity is optional and must match the booking, weather conditions and each child suitability. Sand and sun can be tiring, so allow time to rest.

Day 8: Merzouga to the Ouarzazate region via N Kob

Return through the southern valleys and the landscapes around N Kob, with pauses arranged around the driving conditions. Confirm the overnight location before departure so the family knows what to expect.

Day 9: Ouarzazate region to Marrakech

Return across the High Atlas with practical stops along the route. Fint Oasis is visited only when included and accessible on the confirmed itinerary.

Day 10: Marrakech to Casablanca

Complete the return transfer to Casablanca. It is another substantial driving stage, so leave a generous buffer before any onward flight and confirm the final pickup time.

Before departure, confirm accommodation, meals, child seats, activity age limits, walking surfaces and the exact inclusions. The private format allows the pace to be discussed, but it does not remove the distances between destinations. This journey suits families who want a broad Morocco experience and are comfortable balancing city visits, mountain roads and desert travel.
