This one-week private circuit in Morocco has been designed for travellers seeking a dense, elegant and deeply immersive itinerary. It connects the great imperial cities to the mineral landscapes of the desert, crosses the Atlas Mountains and reveals secret oases shaped by centuries. Every stage blends historical heritage, human encounters and characterful accommodation, in a subtle balance between cultural discovery and Moroccan art de vivre.

From millennia-old UNESCO-listed medinas to the infinite dunes of Erg Chebbi, this journey tells the story of a plural Morocco: imperial, Berber, Saharan and profoundly welcoming. Conceived as a sensory crossing, it invites you to understand the country as much as to feel it — through its flavours, its architecture, its landscapes and its living traditions.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Casablanca, Meknès, Volubilis and Arrival in Fez

Entry to Morocco begins in Casablanca with the discovery of the majestic Hassan II Mosque, an architectural masterpiece overlooking the Atlantic. The road continues to Rabat, an elegant capital where the Kasbah of the Oudayas, with its white and blue alleyways, and the Hassan Tower, an emblematic 12th-century vestige, are revealed.

Heading inland, the Roman vestiges of Volubilis appear amid fertile hills. Monumental arches, refined mosaics and ancient columns tell the story of when this city thrived at the edges of the Roman Empire. At the end of the day, arrival in Fez and settling into a characterful riad nestled in the heart of the medina.

Day 2: Fez – Immersion in a Millennia-Old Imperial City

This day is dedicated to an in-depth discovery of Fez el-Bali, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the world.

The monumental gates of the 14th-century Royal Palace reveal their decor of chiselled brass and complex zelliges, testimony to Moroccan imperial refinement. The route then leads to the historic mellah, founded in the 15th century, and the Ibn Danan synagogue, a carefully restored 17th-century building symbolising Moroccan Jewish heritage.

In the medina souks, craftsmanship comes alive: weavers, coppersmiths and leather masters perpetuate centuries-old techniques. The Chouara tannery, in operation since the 11th century, offers a striking spectacle of colour and know-how. The visit continues at the Bou Inania Madrasa, a jewel of Marinid architecture where sculpted stucco, cedarwood and zelliges form a harmony of rare finesse.

Day 3: Fez – Flavours and Art de Vivre

Fez also reveals itself through its fragrances and flavours. A culinary exploration of the medina brings you close to local gastronomy through tastings of emblematic specialities: pastilla, harira, traditional breads and delicately spiced tagines.

The Dar Batha Museum, housed in a former 19th-century summer palace, reveals a rich collection of Moroccan art. Its Andalusian gardens offer a peaceful pause, punctuated by fountains and orange trees. The Mokri Palace, a sumptuous early 20th-century residence, illustrates the elegance of Fassi architecture with its mosaics, painted ceilings and sculpted stucco.

The day concludes in the Jnane Sbil garden, a vast green space created in the 18th century, where shaded paths and pools evoke the ideal of the Islamic garden — conceived as a refuge of freshness and serenity.

Day 4: From the Middle Atlas to the Dunes of Merzouga

The road leaves Fez, crossing the changing landscapes of the Middle Atlas. Ifrane, nicknamed "Little Switzerland", surprises with its alpine architecture and orderly avenues. Further on, cedar forests shelter the famous Barbary macaques, observed in their natural environment.

In Erfoud, known for its marine fossils dating back hundreds of millions of years, stone tells the geological story of the desert. At the end of the day, the dunes of Erg Chebbi rise on the horizon. A camel trek at sunset leads to the luxury camp, where the evening unfolds beneath a starlit sky, set to the rhythm of Berber music and Saharan hospitality.

Day 5: From the Sahara to the Oasis of Skoura

At first light, the Sahara reveals its shifting hues. The road resumes towards Rissani, former capital of the Tafilalet, renowned for its traditional market and its role in the history of the Alaouite dynasty.

A stop in the Berber village of Aït Ouzzine provides an authentic encounter with the inhabitants. Traditional bread-making, shared meals and simple exchanges offer a sincere glimpse of rural life. The crossing of the Drâa Valley, the country's longest, reveals a succession of palm groves and rammed-earth kasbahs — witnesses to ancient caravan routes.

The night is spent in Skoura, an emblematic oasis and gateway to the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.

Day 6: Skoura, Aït Ben Haddou and the High Atlas

Departure from Skoura leads to the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This spectacular ksar, with its crenellated towers and steep alleyways, perfectly illustrates southern Moroccan architecture and regularly serves as a set for international cinema.

A visit to a women's argan oil cooperative reveals the culinary and cosmetic uses of this "liquid gold", while supporting local economic empowerment. The Tizi-n-Tichka pass then offers grandiose panoramas of the High Atlas mountains before arrival in Marrakech.

Day 7: Marrakech – Heritage and Effervescence

Marrakech reveals itself through its iconic sites. The Majorelle Gardens, with their intense colours and exotic plants, offer a striking contrast to the city's animation. The Koutoubia minaret, an Almohad masterpiece, dominates the horizon, while the Bahia Palace and Saadian Tombs reveal the richness of Moroccan decorative art.

Jemaa el-Fna square embodies the living soul of Marrakech, animated for centuries by storytellers, musicians and street artists. In the evening, a gastronomic discovery of the medina concludes the journey with an immersion in the flavours of Moroccan cuisine.

Day 8: Return to Casablanca and Departure

A transfer to Casablanca marks the end of this Moroccan crossing, rich in landscapes, encounters and emotions.
