Detailed Itinerary: Imperial Cities, Blue Medinas and Rif Mountains
Day 1: Tangier – Gateway to Africa
Your adventure begins in Tangier, a mythical city and crossroads of civilisations. From the Bella-Vista hill, admire the Strait of Gibraltar, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic — a place steeped in legends. Then plunge into the historic medina: the Grand Socco, the Kasbah and the Petit Socco bear witness to Tangier's multicultural past.
After lunch at the Populaire Le Saveur De Poisson, head out to explore the Caves of Hercules, opening onto the sea and evoking the legend of the mythological hero. End the day at Café Hafa with mint tea facing the strait, then settle into a boutique riad for an unforgettable first Moroccan night.

Day 2: Larache and Asilah – Phoenician Roots and Artistic Renaissance
Depart for Larache, an ancient Phoenician city and site of Lixus, where you will discover Roman baths, a temple dedicated to Melqart and the vestiges of the mythical Gardens of the Hesperides.
Continue to Asilah, a coastal town transformed into a living canvas through artistic frescoes and an annual cultural festival. Explore art galleries, wander through white and blue alleyways and let yourself be captivated by the unique fusion of Moroccan and Andalusian influences. Return to Tangier for a lively evening on Rue Mexique.
Day 3: Tetouan – The White Dove of Morocco
Tetouan, at the foot of the Rif Mountains, welcomes you with its Andalusian architecture and rich cultural heritage. Discover Place Hassan II, the UNESCO-listed medina, the Spanish Ensanche quarter, the ethnographic museum, the Jewish mellah and the traditional arts school. End the day with a visit to the Grand Mosque, symbol of the city's Islamic heritage, before returning to Tangier.
Days 4 and 5: Chefchaouen, the Blue Pearl
Day 4: Settle into your riad in Chefchaouen and take a guided tour of the blue medina. Discover the kasbah, Plaza Uta El-Hammam, the Grand Mosque and traces of Jewish heritage. Traditional dinner in an intimate setting.
Day 5: Morning with a hike to the Spanish Mosque for a panoramic view. Then choose an excursion to the Akchour waterfalls and the Bridge of God, or spend time in Chefchaouen discovering local crafts, visiting a traditional hammam or watching the sunset from a rooftop café.
Days 6 to 8: Fez and Its Treasures
Day 6: Cross the Rif Mountains to reach Fez, settle into your riad and take an orientation walk followed by a dinner with a local family.
Day 7: Complete exploration of Fez el Bali. Visit the Royal Palace gates, the Jewish quarter and Ibn Danan synagogue, the souks, madrasas like Bou Inania and the prestigious Al-Qarawiyyin University. End the day with a sunset from the Merenid Tombs.
Day 8: Choose between Fez's gardens and palaces with Jnane Sbil, Dar Batha and Mokri Palace, or an excursion to Moulay Idriss, Volubilis and Meknès — for a blend of ancient history and imperial splendour.
Days 9 and 10: Return to Tangier and Departure
Day 9: Scenic road through the Rif, with stops in small Berber villages. Arrival in Tangier for a farewell dinner with a view over the strait.
