Leave Marrakech for an overnight experience in the stone desert of Agafay, a short drive from the city but shaped by a very different landscape. Agafay is not the Sahara: its pale, rocky hills and wide horizons offer a nearby desert atmosphere, especially at sunset and beneath a clear night sky.

DAY 1: MARRAKECH TO AGAFAY

Travel from Marrakech in the late afternoon and watch the urban landscape give way to dry hills, arid valleys and open views toward the High Atlas. On arrival, settle into the selected camp and take time to enjoy the setting before the evening programme.

SUNSET IN THE STONE DESERT

The changing light over Agafay’s rocky ridges is the main natural spectacle of the evening. Depending on the option confirmed for your booking, you may choose a camel ride at sunset or a quad outing in the hills. Any activity is arranged according to availability and is not presented as a Sahara-dune experience.

DINNER AND OVERNIGHT CAMP

Enjoy a Moroccan dinner beneath the open sky, with familiar local flavours such as tagine, couscous, pastries and mint tea. The overnight stay is in the selected partner camp, with the accommodation standard and included services confirmed before booking.

DAY 2: QUIET MORNING AND RETURN

Wake to broad views and the morning light on the Agafay hills. After breakfast, there may be time for a gentle walk, a confirmed sunrise activity or simply a slow start before returning to Marrakech. The short transfer makes this a practical overnight escape for travelers who want desert landscapes without a long Sahara journey.
